The first opponent of "Neftchi", which joined the fight from the 1/8 final, was "Kapaz" . The only goal scored in the match with the representative of Ganja was enough for our team to advance to the next stage.  

The 1-1 draw in the first leg away to Inter in the quarter-finals was promising for the return match. As no goal was scored in the home game, Neftchi advanced to the semifinals thanks to the away goal. At this stage , our team defeated "Ravan" by the result of two games (1: 1, 3: 1) and qualified for the final.    

Although no goals were scored in the first half of the decisive match against Gabala on May 28 at the Republican Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov , our team opened the scoring after the break: Samir Masimov scored . However, "Gabala" did not give up and got what they wanted with the goal of Marat Izmaylov - 1: 1. After that, no more goals were scored in the main and extra time, and a series of penalties took place to determine the owner of the cup. Thanks to the accurate shots of Eric Ramos, Flavinho and Bruno Bertucci , as well as the confident play of goalkeeper Sasha Stamenkovic, Neftchi won the Azerbaijan Cup for the 6th time in its history, winning 3: 2 on penalties.
