It was decided not to extend the contract with the head coach of PFC "Neftchi" Samir Abasov, which expired on May 31. We thank the experienced specialist for his service and wish him success in his future endeavors.

It should be noted that Abasov, who has been coaching Neftchi since November 2020, won the Premier League with the "whites and blacks" in the 2020/2021 season. Abasov, who won the Azerbaijani championship after 8 years, won silver medals for our team in the 2021/2022 season. Under his leadership, Neftchi played 61 official matches. Of these matches, 32 ended with the victory of the flagship, 14 with draws and 15 with defeats.
