Yuri Vernidub: “We played better in the second half and secured the victory”

“Neftçi” PFK head coach Yuri Vernidub answered journalists’ questions at the press conference held after the Matchweek 6 Misli Premier League game against “Qəbələ”:

“It is always difficult to play in Qəbələ. It takes some time to adapt to the conditions here. That is why the players spent much of the first half adjusting to them. Nevertheless, we played better in the second half and secured the victory. Due to the upcoming break in the league, we will give the players five days off. We will regroup at the training base on 24 September and begin preparations for the match against “Sabah”. As part of our preparations, we will play a friendly against “Araz-Naxçıvan” on 2 October. After “Sabah”, we will also face “Qarabağ” and “Turan Tovuz”. In other words, we have three difficult matches ahead of us.”
