Yuri Vernidub: “I’m delighted that we won and we will continue moving forward”

Neftçi PFK head coach Yuri Vernidub answered journalists’ questions at the press conference held after the Matchday 4 Misli Premier League fixture against Şəfa:

“Our players were fully committed to the match. Although there were not many chances in the first half, we opened the scoring with a fantastic goal from Rufat Abbasov. We still have a lot of work to do. Although we conceded from a set piece at the start of the second half, I liked the team’s reaction. We played at a faster tempo and scored three more goals. I’ve lost count of the number of times we hit the crossbar and post. I’m delighted that we won, and we will continue moving forward.”
