Yuri Vernidub: “I’m Very Pleased That the Players Coming on to the Pitch Are Making a Difference”

Neftçi PFK head coach Yuri Vernidub answered journalists’ questions at the press conference held after the team’s Round 11 Misli Premier League match against Kəpəz:

“I would like to congratulate everyone on Victory Day. May there always be peace in Azerbaijan, and may people be able to live as they wish.

“As for the match, I’m very pleased that the players who come on to the pitch are making a difference. We have a very strong bench, and everyone wants to play. We always know in advance who will be in the starting line-up and who will replace whom. There is excellent competition within our squad. This is something that really satisfies and pleases me.

“Seven of our players have been called up to their respective national teams, and I’m very happy for them. I have told them to do their best to win, but also to return without picking up any injuries.”
