“Neftçi” PFK head coach Yuri Vernidub answered journalists’ questions at the press conference following the team’s Round 5 Misli Premier League match against “Imishli”:

“After taking a 2–0 lead, allowing the score to be levelled is not a good thing. It makes it more difficult to continue the game in such a situation. That is why I told the players that we cannot afford to play like that. We must not repeat the same mistakes. We will speak about this again. We must not make such mistakes again. In particular, both goals we conceded were unnecessary. One of the key factors was the increased tempo brought by the players coming on as substitutes.”
