We have signed a new contract with Emil Safarov

Today, “Neftçi” PFK and footballer Emil Safarov have extended their agreement. The 23-year-old midfielder has signed a new 2+1-year contract.

Emil Safarov showed from the early years of his professional career that he had the potential to become a high-level player. He made his Azerbaijan Premier League debut for “Gabala”, where he came through the academy, at the age of 18, and gradually established himself in the first team. Some time later, he received a call-up to the senior national team. Despite having several other offers in 2024, Safarov chose “Neftçi” and, within a short period, demonstrated his potential for dynamic development, becoming one of the leading members of the “Black and Whites”. During his two years with “Neftçi”, Emil has made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists. He has played an important role in several of our victories and has also established himself in the Azerbaijan national team.
