Our reserves open the season with a defeat

“Neftçi” have played their first match of the season in the Reserves League. The “Black and Whites” suffered a 0–1 defeat to “Sumqayıt” in Round 1. The only goal of the match, which was played on the training pitch of “SOCAR Polymer Arena”, was scored by Nihad Orujəli from the penalty spot in the 85th minute.

Head coach Rashad Abdullayev’s side will host “Araz-Naxçıvan” in Round 2. The fixture will be played at the “Palms Sports” Football Centre on 31 August, with kick-off at 17:00.
