Historic UEFA Women's Champions League Victory!

Our women's team have made history by securing their first-ever victory in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Competing in Group 1, Neftçi faced Montenegro's Budućnost in the first qualifying round at the Veria Stadium in Veria, Greece.

Neither side managed to find the net during regular or extra time, with the match finishing goalless. The tie was therefore decided by a penalty shoot-out, where Siyasət Əsgərov's side held their nerve to claim a 4–3 victory.

This marks the first-ever win by an Azerbaijani women's club in the history of the UEFA Women's Champions League.

Neftçi will now face the winners of the PAOK – Hapoel Jerusalem tie. Victory in that match would secure our place in the second qualifying round.
