Defeat in the First Leg Against Dinamo

Neftçi played their first official match of the new season, suffering a 4–2 defeat to Dinamo Minsk in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round.

The match at Palms Sports Arena got off to the perfect start as Emin Mahmudov opened the scoring in the 2nd minute. Seven minutes later, Neftçi doubled their advantage through a Dinamo own goal. However, the Belarusian side responded with goals in the 36th, 47th, 57th and 77th minutes to claim victory.

The second leg will be played on 30 July, kicking off at 21:00 Baku time, at Beroe Stadium in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
