Museum

Becoming history, owning that history, and passing it on to future generations, transforming it into culture—an honor not everyone can achieve. The professional football club Neftchi PFK contributes to national sports with its museum, dedicated to its countless victories and successes. It is the only museum in Azerbaijan dedicated to the history of sports and football.

The museum, located at the Bakcell Arena, was opened on April 22, 2017. The museum displays exhibits that reflect the overall history of Azerbaijani football, spanning the period from 1937 to the present.

At the entrance to the museum, which consists of two rooms, are historical photographs, trophies won, and interesting information about the history of Neftchi, as well as the members of the team that won bronze in the 1966 USSR Championship.

In another room, visitors are shown videos of our team's historic matches, which made it to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani football.

By visiting the Neftchi Museum, you can gain extensive information not only about the club but also about the creation and history of Azerbaijani football. Here, you can see the footballers' boots and the balls they used.

PFC Neftchi's goal is to transform the museum into a center where people, especially children, can spend their free time productively, a place that will be of interest to every football fan, and where they can learn about domestic football and our club.

At our new training base, we plan to create a museum with a larger collection of exhibits on a larger site. Our goal is to provide museum visitors with detailed information about the history of our football and our club, as well as to introduce future generations to our heritage.

A club that doesn't know, promote, and take pride in its past and history cannot succeed. PFC Neftchi invites everyone to visit our club museum.
