Seminar held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026

An educational seminar on climate action, environmental protection and sustainable football was held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026. Members of “Neftçi” PFK’s Under-16 team attended the event, which took place at the “Palms Sports” Football Centre.

The seminar covered topics including climate change and football, football’s environmental impact, sustainable lifestyles for young footballers, efficient use of water and energy, reducing and recycling plastic and waste, environmental responsibility when travelling for football matches, and creating a sustainable football environment within the academy.

The main aim of the event was to raise young footballers’ awareness of climate change and sustainability, while promoting environmentally responsible practices that they can apply in their daily lives and football activities.
